  • Mr. William Cattell, merchant, married in the country, Miss Anne Cattell, a relation to the said     Mr. Cattell on May 17, 1732.

  • Mr. Crawford was married in town to Miss Sally Bellamy on May 18, 1732.

  • Mr. Foissine was married to Miss Mary La-Rush on June 8, 1732.

  • Mr. John Strahan, 70 yrs of age, married in St. Thomas Parish, Mrs. Naomi Painter, age 60 in      March 1732-33.

  • Thomas Dale, MD was married to Mrs. Mary Brewton on March 28, 1733 at St. Philip’s church in                Charlestown.

  • Mr. Robert Pringle, merchant in Charlestown, was married to Miss Jane Allen, daughter of                          Mr. Andrew Allen, on July 18,1734.

  • Mr. Isaac Chardon was married to Miss Mary Woodward, of James’s Island, on November 6, 1735.

  • Thomas Lamboll Esq. was married at Ashley Ferry, to Mrs. Peggy Edgar on April 14, 1737.

  • Mr. John Beswicke, merchant, married Miss Mary Hill on November 17, 1742.

  • Col. Miles Brewton was lately married to the widow Paine.

  • Capt. Thomas Frankland, of the Rose, man-of-war ship, was married to Miss Sarah Rhett on                       May 27, 1743.

  • Mr. John Witherspoon married Miss Martha Peronneau on August 11, 1743.

  • Mr. Stephen Bedon Jr. was married to Miss Ruth Nicholls, August 22, 1743, an agreeable lady, with a       large fortune. 

  • Colonel John Gibbes was also married Aug. 22, 1743, in the country Mrs. Elizabeth Jenys, of this                 town, relict of Paul Jenys Esq, with a very large fortune.

  • Mrs. Elizabeth Street, of Ashley-Ferry, widow, aged sixty-four years, married Mr. John Goodwin, of           Combahee, aged forty-eight years in August 1743.

  • John Dart Esq., was married to Mrs. Basset, relict of the late Rev. Nathan Basset, on April 16, 1744.

  • Mr. Alexander Peronneau was married to Miss Margaret Hext on December 24, 1744.

  • Mr. Benjamin Matthews was married to Miss Anne Holmes on February 5, 1745.

  • Tomas Monck, Esq., was married to Mrs. Mary De St. Julien on July 10, 1745.

  • Mr. Thomas Lloyd, lieutenant of one of our independent companies, was married to                                     Miss Mary Matthews on July 23, 1746.

  • Mr. Christopher Gadsden, purser of his Majesty’s ship Aldborough, was married to                                         Miss Jane Godfrey on July 28, 1746.

  • Mr. Jemmitt Cobley, married Miss Helen Wright on July 30, 1746.

  • William Cattell, Jr. Esq., married Miss Anne Fraser on July 31, 1746.

  • Last week Mr. Francis Roche, merchant, was married to Miss Anne Simmons. (Date on newspaper           August 18, 1746.)

  • Dr. John Moultrie was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Mathews, a widow gentlewoman, on July 6, 1748.

  • Mr. Benjamin Stead, an eminent merchant, was married to Miss Mary Johnson, daughter of the late        Governor Johnson, on November 15, 1748.

  • Mr. John Savage, an eminent merchant, was married to Mrs. Allen a handsome widow                                  gentlewoman, on April 18, 1749.

  • Abraham Bosomworth, Esq., agent for Indian affairs ,was married at Ashley-Ferry, to Miss                            Susanna Seabrook, on November 2, 1749.

  • Mr. Alexander Fraser married Miss Anne Harvey in the beginning of November, 1749

  • Mr. John Ainslie was married to Miss Mary Child, reputed the richest in this province, on                              January 18, 1750.
