Death Place of George W. Clancy. I belive George died in Kentucky or Tennessee (Towns were
across from each other) because in the 1880 census he was still in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. The couple seemed to only navigate between TN & KY throughout their lives. I could not find any sources for Appanoose, Iowa and the George W. Clancy living there was born in 1850 and married to someone totally different. Also, none of their children lived in that state so George didn't go to live with them either.

3. Lucinda "Cinthia" Smith, daughter of James Smith and Gillian "Gilly" Moore, was born about 1822 in , Jackson Co, Tennessee and died in 1893 in Tompkinsville, Monroe, Kentucky about age 71. Lucinda married George Washington Clancy about 1845.

• She appeared on the 1850 census. Shows they are practically living with the whole Jesse Smith Family.
• Putting a question out there!. Anyone know why the 1850, 1860 Census says her name is Cynthia and the 1870, 1880 says Lucinda? Thought maybe they were two seperate woman? One born 1822 and the other 1818.
