Sanford married Nancy Warriner on 1 Jan 1812 in Vershire, Orange, VT.
Marriage Notes: They were sealed by A.M. Lyman at 6:35 pm. at the Nauvoo temple. The witnesses were Willard Richards and Isaac Morley.

Marriage Notes: Sealed in the office of President Brigham Young. Tradition says that Nancy Warriner Porter was good friends with Phebe Simpson. When Phebe’s husband left the Mormon Church and went to California (died two years later), Nancy asked Sanford to marry her good friend.
17. Nancy Warriner, daughter of Reuben Warriner and Sarah Colton, was born on 29 Jul 1790 in Vershire, Orange, Vermont, died on 2 May 1864 in Porterville, Morgan, Utah at age 73, and was buried on 4 May 1864 in Porterville, Morgan, Utah.
General Notes: Written by Nancy M. Porter, "She (Grandmother Nancy) reared her children in kindness and love. She was amiable to all and very patient through the trials of life." She cared for the sick and was often the midwife when new babies came to the families in the settlements and she lent help and provision for those in need wherever she found them.
She was described as having large dark eyes, long dark hair.

General Notes: William's occupation was that of a Mason and he was one of the signers of the "Missouri Redress Petition" He was a High Priest and was selected as one of the High Priest to go on missions to various congressional districts in the U.S. He was unable to cross the plains with the Saints because of illness. He went to live with his son William Orr Parks in Louisiana, Pike, Missouri and there died.
